Characteristics
The open kitchen is fully fitted and the layout means that the one who is cooking isn’t separated from the others. The living area has two fixed settees and comfy armchairs, so there’s always a comfortable place to sit. The dining table seats 6 and is placed in the centre of the room. The wood burner keeps you warm on late evenings and in the winter. Naturally, the lodge is well insulated and there is additional heating for on cold days.

Waar staat het huisje?
The Skries is on the south-east side of Pean-buiten, it’s highlighted on the map in the slideshow above. The house is surrounded by enough space for children to play and there is a spot for a campfire.
You won’t notice the guests in the other houses at Pean-buiten very much when you’re in the Skries. And if you are part of a larger group and have rented the water lodges Goudûle and/or Ljip, you can slip through the trees as if you have your own little cluster of homes at Pean-buiten.
What does it look like inside?
There are 3 bedrooms on the cool side of the house. The largest bedroom has a double bed, while the other two rooms have single beds. In one of the bedrooms, the single can be pushed together to create a double bed; the third bedroom has a bunkbed. The single beds are Swiss Sense leather-look box springs (2.10 long and 0.90 wide). All beds are fitted with single duvets, pillows with protective covers and flannel bed sheet. Bed linen is available for rent from Pean-buiten, but you can also bring your own.
The bathroom has a shower, double sink unit and a toilet. There is a second toilet in the hallway – particularly nice when there are more than two of you in the lodge.
What does it look like on the outside?
There’s an outdoor lounge seat and a table for 6 on the terrace so you have a choice of seating. Outside lighting makes it cosy on the terrace well into the evening.
